TELL ME YOUR SECRET- How to manage an A+ 99% of the time

To all the academics out there,

no. 1 i hope this isn't a dumb thread to begin with  :-[ i know this topic is a little ridiculous to ask, despite how intuitive the question might be-as you can all say:
we have to take the initiative to revise consistently, understanding everything and clarifying mistakes (yadidahh..) But nonetheless as much as you know everything, how do you refrain from making tiny mistakes on the sac to achieving perfect A+'s. I know giving practice to 5 years of high school i assume most students dont have the perfect A+ reports. So it would be nice knowing the secrets you A+ legends have ;)
Oh and happy early Christmas!

In my experience, you need to practice and make sure that you know your stuff and that you know the answer to any question they can ask you. But more importantly, relax. I reckon that the best way to avoid making stupid little silly mistakes is to try to relax and don't worry too much about it. I think that nerves are the main cause of forgetting a negative sign or writing 1814 when you were meant to write 1914.

The seccond step can be quite hard if it's an important sac/exam though.

If you have a concern of any part of the course for anything, don't let it pass without asking someone.

Quote Y9 Science teacher, Hohlweg, "Stop asking questions." My reaction "WTF". My science score: A [HD2] :(
In other words, +1 to taiga's point :P

depends on which subject....but if you have really biased teachers, always try to avoid doing assignments/work/essays on topics that are really sensitive to them or if you're trying to oppose their firm stance on an issue

here's a really helpful book

Yeah, don't get stressed by SACs too much, they're quite minor individually in the whole scheme of things. I didn't get nervous/stressed at all for any of my exams except a little bit for English, probably because it was my first 3/4 exam.

Read every question carefully, a few times, and know exactly what you're going to write before you start the answer. Also, select the best knowledge of the particular content that you know for the answer. In other words, if a question asks for a specific answer relating to an area of the course, don't write down everything you know about that topic including some irrelevant knowledge - only put down what is going to answer the question in the best, most direct and concise way.
