Statement of Results (Help)
« on: December 24, 2010, 06:47:29 pm »

hey guys, i am currently holidaying overseas so I have no access to my certificates and formal results. I know everything comes to the mail, including the form which allows you to apply for a statement of results for the subjects you do, so my question is, when does the form expire?

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure it's ok until at least Feb 2011. Alternatively, you could download the form off the VCAA website http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vcaa/schooladmin/forms/vce/statemarksinspectscripts.pdf
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

You have until the 18th of February. After this date, you can submit until March the 11th but $33.75 late fee will be charged. If you're inspecting a script, you cannot submit after the 18th of Feb at all.

Not long - 2-5 days although tomorrow is a public holiday so a bit longer than usual I'm guessing.

I have in the past but not this semester. I applied for the SOM. Although I'm interested in Greek and English I really don't want to pay VCAA the ridiculous amount that they ask. How about you?

I applied for English and Chinese. For English, mainly because I wanted to see how much did my school assessment pulled me down, so I went for both SoM and SoS. For Chinese, I applied for SoM only to have a gauge at where I lost my marks, if I lost most of my marks on translation, then chances are I will go for inspection and then have it appealed to be remark. I know how incompetent the language teachers are, esp the Chinese ones, when it comes into marking the translation parts.

For example, they believed in the phrase 'Australian loves sport.'

any reason that mine hasn't come yet? It's been 2 weeks, i submitted it on the last day my school was open (17th dec)
does it make any difference if i also submitted a inspection of examination scripts?

Hmm, no reason to think so given that they normally just send you an email for SoS and SoM. Though VCAA is pretty cheap, they probably wanted to save $60c on postage stamp. Maybe ring them up if I were you.

Hahaha yeah I know what you mean. There's definitely a chance of that happening.

Could be because of the Christmas break. I know VTAC was closed for some time, not sure about VCAA.

According to others who have called VCAA, they haven't been working from about the 20th and their answering machine says work will resume on the 4th.
