Should be. I know a friend who completed VCE in 2009 and gained entry  via access to science at Melb uni with an ATAR of 80. She got offered the course in first round (she had it as her number 1 preference). It should be the same this year! :)

I'm relying on the Access too :D

Do you think they'll offer a place in Commerce if you missed the clearly-in for Access, which is 88, by 1-2 points?

Don't ever do VCE without Year 11 and missing one Sem of Year 12. Believe me its quite a pain.

I really hope I get into UMEP mathematics. We get our outcome on the 17th as well. I'm really doubtful at this stage...I don't think my marks are good enough. :P

.....r u freaking serious? you don't think your marks are good enough and you got 50 for methods? Dude you don't even need 40 in Methods to be eligible for Uni Maths

Unfortunately not, I'm pretty sure that those Access Melbourne cutoffs aren't based on students applying but are arbitrary cutoffs that the uni won't alter. On the upside, you can do commerce through arts/science/environments so you can still study the same subjects

Alright thanks Russ. I guess it's goodbye to Commerce for me and expect a Science offer soon. :)

In the same light, can you take arts/environments subjects through science?

Through breadth, yes. With commerce, I've heard that arts/science/environments all have economics majors so you can do those if you didn't do a BComm.

Last yr it was 93.55 - praying this year it will be lower by 0.1 XD
