MUEP/UMEP Offers Countdown!!!

Anyone know if anything remotely important happens at the UMEP Welcome Day tomorrow (aside from student ID's)?

Some people are interested in seeing the campus for the first time...dunno if you are but yeh. Plus you're doing Philo on campus so it could be useful.

Yeah any catered events are usually shitty (KLD for example), but I'd be happy if they had plenty of party pies/sausage rolls etc, most people eat them?

But yeah, as usual it will probably be pretty boring especially if you cbf interacting with new people haha, but I just want my monash ID/email

I think in the past two KLD events, they realised that we basically just want Pizza and Sushi. Good enough for me. Still doesn't change the fact that their events are shocking.

At my primary school graduation which I was completely apathetic about, they had a 'dinner' before hand... party pies and small sausage rolls. Fucking disgusting, I'd have rathered stayed home than eaten that vomit.

Should be able to go and get student card, A4 page with all the info we need to know then leave.

Actually they should just mail it out.

yeah maybe not considering that some people aren't attending and there is like 400+ students who enroll and it will take ages for them to take all of the photos (is that why we arrive at 9am~10 45am? )

Yeah that would be right.  That could be one of the reasons why they asked for Photo ID...

I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow.  Hopefully we'll bump in to each other tomorrow

You do get your photo taken for your id card. You get split up into groups according to subject and have a tour of the campus and get your id cards.

However, last year orientation was at Clayton, so I'm unsure if the move to Caulfield will change anything.

The UMEP emails came out earlier than expected for me as well, and a few other people I know.

I'm doing UMEP Psych, and very excited!

Just wondering, what was your SS for psych?

Hahaha I asked her that too although I'm not sure if I can post it but it was >40 and <50
..So let SS = tinat2's Psych score, therefore 40 < SS < 50

For those wondering, for one, I never knew so many people were interested, but anyway - for any UMEP application, the 'expectation' is a SS of 40+, personally I achieved 44 raw for Psych. Though this is just as important as the overall grade average, so even if you achieved a study score of ~38 doesn't mean you can't apply

Yeah don't bother applying if you're 2% off the A average though :\ - even if you go to a good school.
I got the same score for psych as you. Oh well, can't really do anything about it.
