Many students encounter problems with writing essays as they believe that they should showcase their grammar and vocabulary and tend to stray off topic. The essay structure and content is extremely important in regards to achieving a good sac mark. In this thread we will discuss ways to write a good essay (IntoTheNewWorld's - VCE Japanese guide is very good) but does not highlight tips as to what a person should include in an essay, content wise. Japanese SL sacs all have the same structure (persuasive, informative etc.) and so it is possible for everyone to share ideas for one another's essays.
Feel free to post up your own essays that you have written in the past (post-VCE'rs) or drafts you're written so that everyone can work together to helping you attain a better score! that and I believe this should be a meeting place for gathering and sharing ideas :)

Essays that answer the topic-question and give good elaborations are what I've found to be good. On the other hand, diary entries/letters to friends are great for showcasing the mildly colloquial language you've learnt from watching various animes etc. :D
