where do you find time to exercise during vce?!

hi guys, i've recently "tried" to make up a study timetable for myself based on some ive seen throughout vn and universitiy websites, but considering the fact that school finishes at 4 (including getting home), irregular dinner hours, etc there's no room for some exercise? i want to study well, probs for like 2.5-3 hours a night, especially since i do have an atar im aiming for, but i dnt want to be a sludgy blob at the end of it too......

ideas?

If you want to fit it all in, don't procrastinate (harder said than done).

Though I must say, I'm pretty much incapable of studying when I get home from training on a weekday. Maybe add a bit of self-discipline too? :P

Try and plan each day as it comes - write a to-do-list everyday when you get home, and tick things off as you finish them. It's recommended that you study in 50-minute blocks, with a 10-minute block between each study block. So I guess you need to implement this into your daily schedule; 10 minutes of exercise or relaxing every 50 minutes sounds like a good idea.

Um wake up early?
I wake up at 6 30 and run 20mins at 10km/hr, 4times a week.

I can see myself lazing on Sundays though so that makes it 3times a week at VCE (Year 11).

Run around your block. Or walk to/from school. Seriously take werdna's advice, that's good. Personally, I have compulsory Saturday sport in Year 12 throughout the whole year. Table Tennis and Soccer keeps me fit, enough.

Always take the stairs instead of the escalator/elevator. :P

yeah like if your school is rich enough to even have escalators/elevators.

Find a sport (preferably a team sport) that has three sessions per week (including training and game-day). Seriously a great way to maintain your fitness and it also allows you to plan your study sessions around it, so you keep yourself motivated with less spare time on your hands.

I meant everywhere, not at school.

And I just realised my school had an elevator! Not that anyone was ever allowed to use it...

only time i will ever come to an escalator/elevator is when i go out , not much during vce.

edit: Should get down to the OP's question.

What about the occassional recess and lunch time?  You can play a game of (insert name of physical activity that floats your boat here) with your friends or just walk around the school or use the school gym. (if you have access to one) And if you have an exercise bike, put it infront of the tv and use it instead of the couch, thus killing two birds with one stone :)

I actually find that going for a 3~4km walk before studying is very beneficial since it makes me more "refreshed" and in a good state of mind compared to crawling back to the books

then again holidays have given me time to have this luxury :(
