If I get my 2nd preference, but still want to see if I can get in 2nd round 1st preference what do I do? Can I still accept 2nd preference in the meantime?

Yep always accept your first round offer because you will still be offered another one in second round (if you are eligible etc.)

well lets say you get your 5th preference in first round, you may still have a chance to get the 1st-4th prefs in second round offers (granted you meet all the prereqs)

I thought I told you that you should accept your offer now and wait for second round offers.  :)

I'm not sure but I believe it mainly depends on how many people reject their offer.  But no, it's not really released publicly until after Round 2 offers have been released.

I have 2 questions.

If I defer my 1st round offer can I still get a second round offer?

Are there any stats on the number of second round offers for courses in previous years?

1.  Whatever you do, so long as your first round offer wasn't your first preference, there is always the slight chance you could get another offer.

2.  The stats would be hard to find unless if you have previous VTAC Guides, newspaper liftouts.  Or try the VTAC website.

I've been approved for irregular offer (says on the myinfo site).

Does that mean I don't need to travel for 2 hours to monash today???

You should always accept your first round offer regardless of second round offers / irregular offers.

There could be the chance but it's on the MyInfo website so chances are extremely slim.

Do you want to apply for an offer that's below your 2nd preference?  If so, do it a.s.a.p.

The only possibility of getting a second round offer is if you get your first preference.
