Clash...

So, I'm sitting in MUTTS trying to decide on my timetable with my finalised list of units and I came to the sudden realisation that two of my lectures clash - http://grabs.benzoenator.net/03714015029cd805896ecfb5a65835ed.png

What do I do? Politics does have one the day before, so do I just go to the Communications one or alternate or what?! Very confused.

Attend the one you find harder, get the recording of the other. If one of them has a lecture at another time, just go to that. Nobody is checking attendance or anything at lectures.

yeah just do this. Make sure you know if there's tests during lectures though.

Urgh, I'd just like it to be simple... Oh well.

Are all units definitely recorded? I was looking on MULO and it looks very hit and miss with some...

nope. But depending on the subject you can just miss the lecture and read the lecture slides without a huge disadvantage.

Perhaps less so for Arts but I dunno.

You could just shuffle your units around, you know... take either politics or communications in semester two instead, and bring one of your semester two units forward. (If you do decide to do this, just make sure politics or communications aren't prerequisites for any units you intend to do in semester two, and that the uni you bring forward doesn't have any prerequisites.)

I think MULO only has the semester two lectures up at the moment? You should be fine, most arts lectures are recorded.

Just out of interest - I've enrolled into my subjects on the WES and also submitted my preferences on allocate+, do I need to do anything else?

My two clashes are Communications and Politics - Communications only offers two first year units (one in Sem 1 and one in Sem 2). I guess I could change my Politics unit, but it's like the introductory unit to the subject and I'd prefer to do it in Semester 1... Politics is 2 x 1hr lectures, so I'm going to one at least... I'm not sure, I might talk to someone about it at O-Week and see whether it will be a massive problem.
