So what are you guys doing/recommend doing on the DAY of the exam?

Should I be reading my textbook, relaxing and watching daytime TV, listening to music or what?

It starts at 2:45, so i have so much time to burn

I've been thinking about this too.

1. Don't sleep in TOO much later than you would normally; your bodys clock will be outta sync.
2. Maybe look over the exams uv done and see what sort of questions MAY come up (you'll feel like youve already done the questions in the exam)
3. Look over templates and then read the Things to Remember section of this thread (so you dont make silly mistakes)
4. Then chuck on a DVD (some comedy?) and relax and you'll be fine.
5. Remember to eat brekky and have something small before going into the exam. (you dont wanna be getting the munchies in exams)

i was pondering about what time to wake up, i'll probably (unintentionally) sleep in a little coz i've been sleeping in for this long weekend, so my bodies used to that now.

that's a good idea- to look over exams to feel like you've done the questions

lol def don't want the munchies in the exams, i really can't concentrate if my stomachs growling
i'll probably have something low GI like pasta or something for slow energy release lol

I had my history exam at 3pm in the afternoon last year (it was my second last exam) and it sucked big time! I found that the last minute revision didn't really help and the time went MEGA slow..I spent half my time looking at the clock.

I would recommend having a very brief skim over your notes, go over anything you are unsure about and then just chill out and go for a run or watch a movie or something. If you don't know your stuff by the morning of the exam, you never will.

that's why i reckon morning/mid morning exams a better, you just get so  bored of waiting and waiting!

and i agree, there's def no use cramming in the morning

I think the purpose of skimming over notes or whatever is just to refresh your memory. Just make it feel like its right there for when you get into the exam. But your study on the day should not exceed say 1 hour and a half, maybe even one hour.
I think the most important preparation you can do for accounting on the day is remembering where NOT to make mistakes (by lookin at the Assessment reports and readin the thread on here about it)... because thats what separates A+ and A students (their ability not to make silly mistakes under pressure)

Yeah I definitely think 9am exams are the best-your mind is fresh, you've just woken up and you haven't had that much time to get stressed. That's why you people should have chosen to do a subject like psych hahaha (it's at a sensible time).

i'm def gonna skim over notes, but when i mean cramming, i mean 'study study' on the day like doing another practice exam or learning definitions.

Bah I have to head off to school at my usual time! Oh well, I'm just planning to sit around in my school's library and read through my theory notes. I might also eat lunch a bit later than normal just to ensure I'm not dying of hunger in the exam :P

If the exam is 3-5pm, make sure you don't eat anything, or have coffee in that period of time in the days leading up to the exam
