Ideal number of VCE subjects in Year 12?

Yeah, our school actually allows this too. I could've done Bio 3&4, Revs 3&4, Methods 3&4 AND English 3&4 last year (in year 11). Opted not to, and I'm glad I didn't do all 4!

I did the 1 in year eleven and 5 in year 12. I think 5 in year 12 is too much, well for me anyway. I ended up not studying at all for my 5th subject for the exam.

Depends on the individual really; how much workload an individual can handle while juggling other commitments and so forth. I think personally, 1/5 is good. Alternatively at my school, you can do 2/4 with a University Enhancement subject. That seems to be popular. Doing more subjects in Year 12 doesn't necessarily equate to achieving a higher score; though it does give one more options/flexibility.

Yeah, it's pretty much up to you, bu I've personally never been a fan of doing more than 6 total subjects.

I'm doing 2+4. I would have actually preferred 2+3+uni subject but MacRob doesn't allow you to do less than 4 school subjects in Year 12.

Damn... I feel for all of you with restrictive schools. I had a massive fight just to do four subjects in year 12. There really should be regulations preventing schools from doing this.

4 subjects is still a considerable workload and I plan to use most of my spares next year for productive things.

lex! same thing for me! i was like yeh cause i have so much time outsideof school anyways! but i feel it should be to the individual, but i guess schools are trying to increase their scores/mark by what they think is better for them i guess

I'm saying 2+5 cos im doing it. I was going to do 2+4 but my school has this gay rule that every student must do 5 VCE subjects in yr 12 :/ and they were a pain to negotiate with to allow me to do 2 in yr 11....
