Literature 3/4

Any tips for someone doing literature units 3/4 in year 11 without having donre any previous units. Am i going to fail??!!!!!!!!!! :-\ :-\ Iv always got A+ in my eng essays, but that was in yr 10, I enjoy writing, but how to I know it is good enough to compete with yr 12's.

If you have a good teacher who is able to thoroughly explain what's required in each type of essay then you should be fine. In all honesty, I didn't feel as if units 1/2 had completely prepared me for units 3/4.

All you can do is know your texts in depth and continually draft essays. Make sure you can write using correct grammar, punctuation and spelling under timed conditions (and without the aid of spell check :P).

And no, you're definitely not going to fail. That is, unless you do no work all year!

1/2 helps, but really, 3/4 is a fairly self-contained unit.  I know people who didn't do 1/2 at all who got 50, or at the very least, 45+.
