Entirely depends on the person.
2011 - English, English Language, Philosophy, Indonesian SL, Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

I don't think that's the right kind of mindset to be taking into either subject. I'm sure you'll be able to pull off anything higher than those scores if you just put in the hard yards and hope for the best. I assume you're aiming for that score because you want to meet a prerequisite? If this is the case, I reckon you should just try and do the subjects with no strings attached, and just try to enjoy the course material and get something out of it, rather than just merely meeting the prereq. In saying this, I think generally speaking, English is the easier one to score in. EL has a smaller cohort; I'm not sure if this impacts much though.

He's asking for ESL; not Eng Lang :P I'd imagine a 30 in ESL is easier than a 25 in mainstream English though.

Oh, my bad. Yeah, if you're eligible for ESL, I'd say go for it. This guy at my school last year just made the eligibility criteria for ESL, and even though he would've done extremely well in mainstream English, he took ESL and scored a 45 in it.

Not predictions, aspirations.

Your ATAR would be wayyy higher than 99.10 if you were to fulfil your aspirations. ;)
