I have never done psychology before but I do have an interest in the subject. I am considering majoring in psychology, however, at this point in time I think I will eventually choose law as a career. Does psychology in any way lend itself to law? My other major idea is criminology perhaps or politics.

Nothing in arts really confers any sort of advantage on you when you are doing law subjects...

I didn't really mean it in relation to an advantage to law subjects, I meant more so a major which would help either with the eventual career or the type of thinking involved, such as critical analysis and logical reasoning etc. :)

There's a bit of critical analysis in international studies / politics so I guess that could help. I also have a friend majoring in psychology at the moment and apparently it's quite a full-on major (lots of work but very interesting!) so I guess that'll help you with your time management skills (v. important in law lol)...

Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm doing a double major in languages and that definitely has nothing to do with law :P

Well I am doing both politics/international studies and psychology, so lets hope your thinking is right about them helping :) Haha, that's true, but having a second language is such an added bonus in terms of employment opportunities. It can't hurt!

Yeah, I hear it is. Also apparently the psychology department can be really disorganised (I'm only hearing all this from my friend, I haven't experienced it first-hand)
