GOOD LUCK
« on: June 10, 2008, 05:26:12 pm »
Just wanted to say good luck to everyone that will be sitting the chem exam on Thursday.
I can clearly say that I have not had the time to study and got 57% on my sample exam.
It's just too hard but I'll definitely try my best  :)

I dislike chem with a passion :D I just did a practise too and really struggled with all the IR/NMR stuff since it wasn't in any of the exams prior to 2008. Don't think I even want to add up my score! Hoping that Thursday will go just a little better, but... B+ for me will be a bonus :) Good luck guys!

Just last minute question, is it still okay if I were to write in grey lead for the short anwser questions also because they do not notify this on the instructions of the front cover of the chem exam. I'd prefer this than large areas of scribbles all over my work. (This is what happened on my psychology exam last year)

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rosie, i think you can write in pencil but they prefer pen as its neater and easier to read. And an examiner ain't gonna correct something they can't read =P

Good luck everyone,

Mass spectrometry, NMR and IR are my strengths believe it or not. I am struggling overall though. Averaging about 70% on prac exams. Looking forward to the exam.

I wrote in pencil (using a pacer) last year.

I think i'll write with a pacer, cuz every time there's a long stoich question and I attempt it in pen, there's half a page of scribbling and about a billion arrows pointing to different places. I don't think the examiners would appreciate that :| Good luck everyone, remember to eat those fish oil tablets, blueberries, walnuts and any other brain foods you can think of XD

I wrote my chem mid-year in pencil. They didn't dock marks. Also, you HAVE to use pencil for the multi-choice. Why switch? :P Pencil means you can rub out and your paper looks far neater.
