UNSW points/credits in secondary school?

Posted this on the HSC thread, but it'll probably not get noticed for like a month... SO I'll put it here:

Is it true that if one gets a medal in a UNSW competition (ICAS), they get credits that can be 'added' (or can be used to complement) to their ATAR if they apply there?

Just heard it from a classmate, does anyone have anymore info/had any of these extra 'credits' or 'points'?

Yessss... I think I posted something about this before.

You can get them for a range of things. Being an olympiad team member gives you +5; getting AMus gives you +4 or something like that.
