q10 too much to type

two pieces of DNA with different no of pairs ot AT and GC

which piece would most readily be seperated by heating (the one with more AT pairs - piece 2) and which strand would have highest molecular mass

Don't fats also contain those elements?

I thought it was DNA.

Fats only ever consist of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms (from both the fatty acid chains and the glycerol backbone).

and i stuffed up molecule Y.
I put circled and named 1-butanol
Do i get consequential for naming it right?

I messed up that question too - I thought one of the peaks were TMS => two carbon environments => 2-methylpropan-2-ol, without realising that 2-alkanols can't be oxidised to carboxylic acids (thanks, Mao).

I have a feeling consequential marks won't be awarded for this - it seems like a straight right/wrong question worth two marks.

In any case, I'm really happy with how I went - according to the suggested solutions I got around 96%. If they accept H+ for 7d it'll be slightly higher!

So what school are all you guys from?

btw the paper was ALRIGHT, it could have been way worse
and phil.g , yes , i hope u are reading this lol

anyway.. i reckon the only stupid questions were the grav. analysis one
like no idea how to draw that graph wen concentration changed:S lol
nd drawing the structure of the compound Y or woteva it was
and also that concentration thing, with that curve and absorbance

but the rest of it was reasonable

Make that 3 so long as they accept my messy but correct diagram of the ketone.

I was uber paranoid about my structural formulas, rubbed out my lines to make them perfectly straight and perfectly in line with the carbons and whatnot like a million times.
