I have a friend who got the Checkpoints one - because there's a new section on Nutrition or something, the authors actually write their own questions, and for the other topics they organise it from past exam questions. Since it's a newish study design, doing the checkpoints and past exam questions are okay. However, like if you're doing Methods, stay away from 2008-2010 questions, so that you can do the paper at the end of the year for practice.
2010 - Further Maths; Literature
2011 - Specialist Maths; Mathematical Methods CAS; Japanese Second Language; Chemistry; Biology
2012 - Science/Law @Monash Clayton

half the stuff from 2010 checkpoints was still the old study design so it wasn't as useful as they usually are.
study on cards really helped me.
