I'm assuming, is in metres?

If so, to convert units divide by which gives 10nm, or 1*10^1 nm, whichever, they're the same thing.

And yeah, monocarbon tetrachloride is

1 x 10^-8 = 0.000000010
1 x 10^-9 = 0.000000001
Hence, 10 nanometres is equal to 1 x 10^-8
(Think about 1x10^-2m in relation to millimeters)

...

Yep

Ok, so it's cm. You can either convert to meters then to nm, or figure out the factor from cm->nm

So,

1 x 10^-8 = 0.000000010
1 x 10^-9 = 0.000000001
Hence, 10 nanometres is equal to 1 x 10^-8
(Think about 1x10^-2m in relation to millimeters)

...

Yep

lol, you mean 1*10^-3?

thanks so much budd.

but lol what is the final answer... becuase the options are.

a.1X10^1 Nm
b."    " ^ 10
c "   " ^ 19
d. "   " ^-1
e "   " ^-15

i said B off your workings .. but im just double checking.
thanks again

My final answer was 0.1 nm, so that is equivalent to 10 to the power of what?

Your selection, B, is 10^10, which is 10, 000, 000, 000 nm

Think about it, you should be able to tell which one it is.

No problem mate. :)

does anyone know the answer 2 this

v205 + 5Ca = 2V + 5ca0
10 mol of v205 is mixed with 10 mol of ca ... which is the limiting reagent
..... i said Ca .... is that right?

thanks in advanced.

Yep, you're right. According to the equation there is a 1:5 ratio for V2O5:Ca consumed, so after 10 mol of Ca ha reacted 8 mol of vanadium oxide will remain.

And yes, is correct for your previous question.
