Technical SAC Q

I'm y11 and my GMA test was scheduled for Tuesday.

I enter class and he's setting out the test (Monday). Everyone complains and he (the 'Russian') straight out admits:

"I told you it was Tuesday. I lied."

Gg boys - do the test.

Don't care 'cause it's y11 but is there a set rule for y12 SAC's where they must do it on the date provided and is there any pre-warning time like you need 1 week notice or something?

Not really, not that I know off. Teachers have a certain deadline when they must give out SAC results to VCAA and so any time before that they should do it. But if a teacher wants, they can do what your teacher did and hand out SACs, although that would be quite cruel to do for year 12's.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Well i dont think your yr 12 teacher would be so harsh and cruel if they genuinely want their students to do well but shit happens. Teachers would usually give you a a week at minimum notice before a sac (Well mine do). Anywho, my teachers give us a timeline with rough sac dates on them, however as that suggested sac date approaches the actual date will be confirmed.

In year 12, it's safe to say this sort of thing wouldn't happen. My school offers a week of notice before hand, but I got told we have a smaller English SAC tomorrow, today -______-

It depends completely on the teacher I guess, they hold a lot of power. You could get your parents to complain though if they did a random SAC like that in year 12.. I know in year 12 media our teacher said our first sac would be in late term 1 or early term 2, one wednesday he writes on the board "SAC in two days.. Friday afternoon" this was in the middle of term 1.. about 1.5 months earlier than what it should have been with no warnings beforehand that we were ready for it.. He was a crap teacher though, so if you get shit ones they might dog you like that.

lol, just do the test. We had a surprise physics test (counts to SAC mark) and the average was ~60%.

Its really not that big a deal, especially in year 11.

It can happen in yr 12, but probably wont. Just do the test its yr 11 it doesn't matter, and one day shouldn't be that much of a difference anyway. Again, it's year 11 relax.

In addition, 'the Russian' lets you redo the tests you failed at the end of the semester. SO you can make up for them if you do fail.

Why do you call him the 'russian'?

Shouldn't make much of a difference, coming out of a week you should be pretty much fully studied...

Haha, I kid.

In any case, in year 12, your test scores:

A) do not count toward your Study Score
B) are pre-set and you have months of preparation beforehand.

Also, the Russian is lolz. Had him as a sub the other day. He got bored, and wrote a Log equation that we had to sketch that spanned three boards.

And he's actually Russian (and proud to be Russian too). His accent is awesome
