Anyone else studying "Don't Start Me Talking" - Paul Kelly's lyrics as a text for English?

He had a concert today just for VCE students - it was pretty good :) Was anyone else there?

Yeah, I'm studying it. I'm a fan of his music so it's a good choice, in my eyes.

Spewing that I didn't hear about the concert, would have loved to have gone.

Same - I love his music. The concert was at The Forum Theatre, quite a few schools were there. He performed about 10 or so songs, and afterwards we were allowed to ask him questions about his music.

Someone asked him about his song / lyric writing process - it was quite interesting as for one the replies he said that he chose lines in lyrics simply because they had alliteration or they rhymed - and here we are studying his lyrics  ::)  But for the most part he was detailed in explaining the meaning and inspiration behind his songs.

Have you finished this area of study already or are you doing it now?

Do you know if he's doing any more performances? There's still posters up around school from his performances last year and I was looking forward to going.

I don't know if he's going to perform again, sorry. Maybe ask your English co-ordinator - they'll be the ones who'll know if Paul is holding another concert for VCE students.
