POSITIVES ; Vast stream of readily accessible information - if it's for merely that purpose, it can be seen as educational, not dangerous.
NEGATIVES ; It facilitates cyber bullying (social mechanisms) and renders one vulnerable to media pressure (celebrities etc) and on top of that, you can get hacked!

I would say no. The danger is the people who use it. The internet just facilitates such behaviour.

I share this opinion.
2011 - English, English Language, Philosophy, Indonesian SL, Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”
― Hunter S. Thompson

Ergo the internet becomes potentially dangerous by providing a link to these people.

Stupid people are a danger to themselves, and the internet is merely another way for stupidity to be taken advantage of.
