SAC 3!

SACS are getting me stressed out. Hate them, hate them, hate them.
I went uber good on the 2nd, so extra pressure :(

NO IDEA WHAT IT IS GOING TO BE!
Its a prac and then write up on Homeostasis: Nervous and Endoctrine system.
My teacher said no plant stuff.
Problem is...my teacher sucks, so I havent actually learnt anything yet.

Any specific things i should look at? haha
Have a shot at guessing what the sac will be :)

haha thanks :)

i just read a sheet the teachers gave out last year.
It says sac 3 is exercise recovery. so hopefully they havent changed their minds :)

If you have Checkpoints, it's everything in Chapter 3.

All I know is that - this SAC is the hardest one in Yr12 Biology.

I do have checkpoints! whoo

Had bio today and our SAC is on exercise recovery.
One person will run for 10-12 minutes and we record breathing rate, heart rate and temperature when they finish i think. It doesn't sound too bound, Im actually kind of excited for this SAC because its so...interesting haha.

dont worry too much about the SACs..
i did biology last year and my SAC average was around 80% (got saved by a few mega scores though ;))
still managed an A+ for the school mark.

i am a bit stressed. i went from bottom 10 for the 1st SAC to top score for the 2nd. It's a terrible feeling ending up at the bottom, especially when you got confused over something really simple haha :)

No i wasnt rank 1.. probably 6th or 7th?
but i did do pretty good in the exams
dont get too stressed. it will all make sense :D

Do you go to a high-ranking school though, BoredSaint?
maybe thats why it was still A+ even though you was ranked 6th-7th

o and my sac is going to be the first one where we dont have to do a prac beforehand. theres 2nd hand data involved too (mines next thursday  :()

well my school doesnt really have the best bio teachers but i remember our cohort was really strong which pushed me up i guess

Bottom line is that SACs don't actually count for their 33% when it all boils down because of scaling and moderation.

i had my sac today :)
just wondering has any other schools had it yet?

there were lots of q.s on blood glucose regulation, and i suspect that most schools would be like this too. we also had a question about gestational diabetes (gave you testing results of individual A and B and you have to state and explain which has diabetes). there were lots of questions where you had to draw diagrams too.
i made HEAPS of notes for this topic and didnt do a lot of questions in preparation. i recommend that everyone does more review-type questions than i did for Sac 3 :(
