USyd made its offers today, 67 was the GAMSAT cutoff!

I dunno much about GAMSAT results, but if it is anything like UMAT results, then that sounds ridiculously high.  :/

Do they take into account GAMSAT results only for interviews, then GPA later (similar to Monash Undergrad with UMAT), or do they combine both then rank, so lower GPA needs higher GAMSAT and higher GPA can have lower GAMSAT?

So glad I got an interview ;D Looks like I'll be flying there on the 7th July :)

@vexx Because I'm interested in Dent. I did apply for the Melbourne MD just in case I change my mind :P

Quote
Sydney Medical Program: For 2012 entry, the minimum GAMSAT overall score was 67 (at least 50 in each section) for standard applicants and 60 (at least 50 in each section) for rural applicants.

Doctor of Dental Medicine: For 2012 entry, the minimum GAMSAT overall score was 60 (at least 50 in each section) for standard applicants and 54 (at least 50 in each section) for rural applicants.

They just look at your GAMSAT for interview offers and they combine both interview and GAMSAT scores for the final offers

67 cutoff was very high, USyd only uses GPA as a hurdle and to tiebreak applicants.

You're on the 7th, I'm on the 6th, be nice and I might break the confidentiality agreement :P
