hi there everybody!

i am currently receiving root canal treatment.
i am wondering whether this could in any way increase the eligibility for my seas application?

if so, what should i get from my dentist?
just a med certificate or something?

i am prepared to injure myself purposefully for seas i hear many students do this nowadays... :laugh:

Have you been unable to study or attend school due to the treatment and how long has the treatment been going on for/will go on for?

about a year...their separating the treatment into three stages and yes it has affected me in my studies where it has given me toothaches/headaches which make it nearly impossible for me to study. This occurred for a fair amount of my summer holidays.

anyway, what should i get from my dentist?

just doctor's certificate? how do u apply for seas btw?
plz help!

You do a SEAS application through VTAC at the end of the year. Your dentist needs to write a statement specifically explaining how it has affected your studies (go to the VTAC site for the exact details)

Only if it's been medically diagnosed I would think, but you should look at the SEAS site yourself

This should be the category you should be applying for at the time of lodging an application through VTAC, around August.

You need to provide evidence that you've been seeking/recieving treatment throughout Year12, but yes SEAS due to depression is certainly available.

Wait so you're suppose to apply for seas for the other criteria by June 13th and apply for under rep at the end of the year?

If you're currently in year 12 this year, you don't have to worry about VTAC just yet.  :)

You apply for SEAS at (around) the same time you apply for VTAC.

Start planning and researching (if you haven't started) and then in August, that's when you put your applications in including SEAS and scholarships.
