Does a super exam score increase the scaling of sacs?

I know your sac rank is fixed and definite, but does a good exam score scale your sacs more than an average one?

I know people who have gotten 47/50 for unit 3 and got scaled to 49/50 for unit 3 because they obtained an A+ for the final exam (this is for latin).

do the teachers know what you actually get on your exam? like something out of 75 for example.
or do they just get a grade (eg, A+, A, b+...) like what we get

I would assume that in the end, it depends if they care. The information would certainly be available to them, whether they want to know is us to them.

Yeah, but usually in a situation like that those ranked 2-5 would probably be disappointed with the study score they recieve and complain to the VCAA before the VCAA even have time to investigate.

Don't allow it to let it rest on your laurels though.

I held this thought and many of my other friends also did. If your sacs are crap but you get a good exam, yes it will help but its not going to boost it dramatically. I had this kind of thinking unfortunately sting me.

Ideally you should do well on your sacs as well, just really try your best.

Curious...if you did terrible in sacs/low-average rank but you full marked the exams would your sacs scale to an immediate A+..?

No. Or at least highly unlikely. Everyone ranked above you would need to get an A+ or close to for that to happen.

I am one to believe that it can scale quite a lot
by owning an exam, you shouldn't try to think of it as getting a mid-high A+, you'd need a really high A+ and your scales will scale tonnes.. in saying that, i've known lots of people that ahve done really well and just bombed out on sacs.

Positive? I mean.. beating the people who were ranked higher than you.. but you beat them in exams by a big margin.. wouldnt that help boost ur sacs a lot?

i need to know if that's true too, i've been 3 weeks ahead of physics class and know that i'm better prepared than most others for the exam (cocky much). My first sac (motion /40) was rank 2 (18/20), but i got my 2nd and 3rd sac results (E&P n S&M - each /30) back today and they're roughly rank 5-8 (60-70%) - bloody physics teacher's self written practicals >:( :( :(. Im sure im capable of getting an A+ on the phys exam, but i need to know if mys sacs have already dropped my chances of scoring highly?
If so, ill focus on chem exam from now until exams (only done 1 chem prac exam, but am rank 3 ~71/75).
