Now that the implementation of the Melbourne Model is in full swing, what postgrad degree do you intend to pursue (doesn't have to be from UoM) ?

I am aiming to achieve my goal and be accepted into: http://www.law.harvard.edu/academics/courses/2008-09/?id=5484

According to my careers adviser at school, Harvard accept students from Box Hill Tafe into law?? Could someone clarify this for me?

Thanks

PhD in maths at a (very good) university, most likely outside of Australia - Berkeley, Princeton, Cambridge, or something along those lines (if I get lucky and get a scholarship).
VCE 2006
PhB (Hons) (Sc), ANU, 2007-2010
MPhil, ANU, 2011-2012
PhD, Princeton, 2012-2017
Research Associate, University College London, 2017-2020
Assistant Professor, University of Virginia, 2020-

Feel free to ask me about (advanced) mathematics.

I'd probably like to go to either Oxford or the Sorbonne [uni of Paris]. Somewhere old, prestigious and vibrant

PhD. Either Oxford or Harvard would be the goal, although there are lots of good unis out there.

What percentage of undergrad students take up postgrad studies and would you recommend it? ie. are the extra years of study worth it?

Depends on what you want to do. I want to be an academic, so it's pretty much mandatory. For most careers, however, it's not as important. And a lot of people do an undergraduate degree then get a job, and somewhere along the line do the job part time while also doing a part time post grad degree.

Nice. I'm also eyeing a PhD in maths at Princeton =)

There's a really interesting article on Terry Tao's uni page about his final exam for his PhD, though I can't be bothered finding the link. Pretty different to how they do PhDs in Australia...

I just recently became aware of this. Looks awesome, but unfortunately, as with most uni programs outside of Australia, expensive...

I really, really want to go to Oxford and study Law. But, you know, the competition is tremendously fierce :P I don't really think I have a chance.
