I never said your exams were half-baked. I said that e-mailing the exams NOW would be half-baked. You're twisting my words. :-/ And yes, I would contend that your exams are not as polished as they could be. Clearly they would improve over time. However, I know Costa took his time with his and e-mailed me before I even asked for it, so this exam is probably ready to go. The 'unprepared' thing was more at Nick who told me HIMSELF that it would be a squeeze and he'd just barely get it done. Now, to me, that screams rushing. At the time that Nick made this post, only half of the exam questions (no answers) had been done. In any case, your idea sounds good. If you so wish, market the exams yourselves. I won't hold it against you at all because it's my broken promise of releasing the exams that's forced you to do this. However, if it's going to go up on the site in any section *but* the Notes System, then it will need the VN logo.

Either way, I look forward to it being on the site.

You keep dragging up the same points- my exam hasn't been rushed. I'm not someone who rushes anything- if I want to do something, I will do it properly and thoroughly. I have spent hours constructing and proof reading the exam and it most certainly isn't "half baked" as you continually proclaim. Eriny has also finished her half of the exam so we are very close to finishing the construction phase!

You said it would be a squeeze. Your own words. I'm not twisting anything. It's great that you've got it done, but, I'm just repeating what you said to me.

That was before I had even started- I had no idea what was required before I commenced writing the exam. I never once said that you were "twisting" anything.

And just for the record- it was you that contended that the time frame would be more than manageable.

Also said before I started the exam. But then once I realised how much time needed to go into planning structure and correct allocation of marks across areas of studies, and then also finding good (and new) questions that hadn't already been done to death in other trial papers... started to get just a little too time consuming to produce them (and produce them well) in the frame of time needed to get them out.

Almost finished first draft. Have you tested it on anybody? I personally tested my completed one on 3 people. And tweaked after each test.

Nick, I'd be happy to test out the exam if needed. :)
It seems that random Psych info won't leave me alone, if only it was the same for my subjects this year.

A "first draft" which has been subjected to hours of proof reading and re-wording of questions. Don't underestimate that validity of a first draft.

And in answer to your question, I have many people that can offer feedback on the exam.

Costa... y dont we release the legal exam free of the VN logo?

That way our "half-baked rush" wont taint Daniel's good name.

I understand and relate 2 ur situation regarding time constraints Daniel, but I do resent u implying that Costa and I haven't put effort in2 this.
The exam is 17 pages, and our discussion of the exam extends to 10 pages of correspondence so far.
I imagine Nick and others have put in similar effort.

Now, I'm not looking 4 an argument with u, but keep in mind that u're the 1 wanting 2 profit from this Daniel, not us.
U need 2 b careful when u go making statements like that, especially when ppl have gone out of their way 2 find the time 2 do these things.

Speaking of, plz send me that 3rd draft when u're done with it Costa.

I dont really mind what the exam is released under. But if its released under the VN brand then I think it would be fair that it gets proper attention on the site and isnt lost among the see of other resources on this site.
Because then we might as well just put it in the Notes section because the lack of marketing would have the same effect.

But yeh, to be fair, a lot of work has been put into this exam. One of fyreflys correspondence to ONE question on the exam was about a page long (lol) ... but we are doing this so that we can get it right. And its pretty close now. If this final draft is fine with Fyrefly then we can start doing the answers to them (no they wont be full essay answers because thats not how legal is... you get marks for stating relevant information ... hmmm but will be difficult for 8-10 mark questions hey fyrefly?)

And well yeh, this is all voluntary work. We don't really ask for anything in return. I have done this because I get satisfaction from helping people and because I enjoy/ed legal studies and think people should have the opportunity to test themselves as much as they want. So this exam acts as another resource.

Anyway here is the front page at the moment. I think it looks better (I refuse to put that piece of shit logo thats on the site on the exam... so tacky) so I think this is better.

Nick, if you like the design of the front cover and want a similar format (or just the logo or something there for similaritiies sake) then let me know.

Um yeh ill send the draft now. I didnt implement the mark reductions that u suggested because I want people to be penalised for not doing the answer to those question rather than losin just 1 mark, they can lose 2 :) lol

I think the way the question is now (Q1) the mark allocation is good. Let me know what u think

definitely.

that logo is particularly good, and I think it should be implemented across the board.
