Hmm, I heard that KBT 2010 was really difficult, I'll have a go at that.

Guys, don't be worried if there is a hard exam - so long as it isn't dodgy.

It means that there's more scope for making careless mistakes AND the examiners are more likely to be lenient with marking. And remember, it's how you do against the rest of the state - so if you get say 64% in the VCAA 2011 exam, but 64% was the top mark in the state, then you should be over the moon :D

I don't think you can live with a 64% thushan :P

what.. are you serious
90% "might scrap an A"
That's incredibly demotivating, surely an 88% average on trials does not get one a B+..
I'm still getting 88%. The day i crack that 90% will be a jizz 4 sho

lol, kinda regret that post, it was just a personal grading system for myself, not everyone. Sorry for any demotivation caused :( If I'm unhappy with a 85-90%, that will make me want to work harder for a better score. If I'm happy with a 90%, I'll be unlikely to improve much, thats my theory.

btw, happy to get A+ on 2008 VCAA :D 94%
(damn reading mass of MnO4 instead of Mn!!!)

Hmm, I heard that KBT 2010 was really difficult, I'll have a go at that.
Gonna give that a go today :(

Well, he is the 'B'. The 'K' is Kunal, and the 'T' is Tom. I don't think Bill wrote the whole thing, but he wrote some of it (he wrote it when he was 16 too :P )

From memory, all got 50 in chem, and I think they all got 99.95 (MHS, 2009).

+1 pi. Going to do the 2011 STAV, 2010 KBT, and TSSM 2011s on Monday, on times conditions with two other friends.

About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

I think I'll do a VCAA 2009 and 2010 under exam conditions, need to do the same for physics now (having 90 mins would reduce stupid errors though!)
