In the first chapter in the VCTA text book it says something about 'multinationals (transnationals)' but then explains the two concepts later in the textbook (chapter 4 I believe) as differnt things. Can someone explain to me the difference? I know it has something to do with the differnces between location and stuff but not sure how to describe it and ccbf loookin for it in text

I think.......

A multinational organisation is one that operates internationally (e.g. selling products to overseas buyers)

Transnational corporations are LSO organisations owned and based in one country but they also have branches in other countries around the world.

I could be wrong because they could even mean the same thing (i'll update it when I know for sure) ..

I think they are and according to google they are the same things.

Multinational corporation (or transnational corporation) (MNC/TNC) is a corporation or enterprise that manages production establishments or delivers services in at least two countries

No, i'm pretty sure you're right jsimmo :)

I didn't know there was a VCTA textbook, or is it a study guide?

and just to remind you, those definitions won't be specificly tested, but it's good to know
