Princ. of Macroeconomics Exam Tips

Anyone who has done this unit have any tips? I know all the questions which are likely to come up in the exam but any practical hints to perform well in the exam would be good (esp. regarding the detail to which we must answer the questions etc.)

Hey man, it's exactly like micro, the questions are ALL out of your tute exercises (not sure if this has changed, I did it last sem and this was the case). Kathy should have told you guys how many questions there are in each section, they don't test the useless questions like those that ask about real life stuff, they test those beefy tute questions, the ones where you gotta draw lots of graphs and use lots of explanations, so produce answers for every single tute question and memorise those and you'll be fine for the exam!

Also, move on if you run out of time allocated to a Q. I wasted too much time explaining the French franc crisis on my macro exam. I thought I'd failed because I gave shit, rushed answers for everything else.

Thanks guys! The lecturer's been giving "hints" throughout the semester. And after listening to online lecs these are the questions which SHOULD come up:

-FRF Crisis
-Monetary Transmission Mechanism
-Monetary stabilisation policy and Future Challenges
-LR/SR Monetary and Fiscal policy
-MS/MD shifts
-Derived SAS and LAS with Loanable Funds market

Luckily I practiced them all  :buck2: Hopefully all goes well tomorrow
