I wake up at 8am every morning and work continuously until 8pm at night with a 30 minute lunch break at 1pm and that is all.

Yeh but apparently from what hes telling me PHS1011 is a pre-req for PHS (2nd year , dont know the code or whatever)... unless he can study them concurrently (plus he says its too hard... but hes still doing it next semester) do u have any info for him? he wants to defer (N) (meaning he probz wont go back)

To be honest I don't plan on failing units (exam was only 56%, he should be sitting on 10% free marks from online assessments and nearly 25% for labs, given he rocked up for them. That's about two thirds of the way to 50 there without doing anything) so I don't know much about it. He's right he won't be able to do 2nd year physics, but I have no idea about how easy it is to get permission to do the units concurrently

Ok thanks. He was saying to me he might have passed because he did well on the labs and online tests... just did really really badly on the exam. We'll soon see

omg!!! you guys are NOT SERIOUS that you wake up at 8 or somtin ang study till midnight??!! Are you trying to put on a fake nerdy identity or somting? If you are not, then you guys are very dedicated!!!

BTW- i dont measure my study in hours, i measure it in the amount of tasks i have completed on that day. I made a big list of all the things i had to do at the start of holidays and try to cross them off as i go along. Part of the problem when it comes to studying in hours is that i focus to much on time and not on the actual study and therefore i dont really have a good measure of where i really am.

I would do something like that. I'd work out what I want to achieve for each subject, in such a way that they should take *roughly* the same time. If something takes 0.5 or 1.5x as long as I thought it would, so what? I don't need to keep going until/stop at x o clock.
