Pen on the exam

you can use either pencil or pen right? it didnt specify it on the exam so dont worry

Yeah, an old assesor from last year told me that when they scan your paper, RED PEN and PENCIL DON'T COME UP ON THE COMPUTER. So they just give you zero, and assume you didn't answer the question. My teacher made it very clear to use black or blue pen in section B.
I guess if you use a dark lead, it will come up. Hopefully it does, I drew my circuit with pencil, but my lead was the thickest and darkest I could find.

It specifically stated to use only black or blue pen. I don't know, maybe if they see an entire exam that's blank, they'll think wut? - and check the original paper. I know for a fact that the area: "DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA" is seen by you, and only you, as a machine guillotines it and is then sent to assessors as a scanned copy.

I only did my graphs in pencil and everything else in pen. So if the graphs look blank they'll assume that i skipped it!!!!!

lmao I drew the modulated graph in pencil as well and I think I did it pretty lightly...

If you wrote dark then I suppose you'd be okay- and I believe 0.7 is slightly darker than standard 0.5..

what kind of scanner do they use anyway that 0.5 lead or any other pencil gets magically obliterated? CMON VCAA THIS IS FUTURE CAREERS AT STAKE haha

...i doubt using a pencil is that big of a deal, its just that if you're using a pen, the examiner can still see what you did if you crossed it out. Also using pencil for any graphs is fine and this applies to any subject.

I talked to one he said pencil fades a lot and by the time they get around to marking it it could be either really smudged or else just too light for the scanner to pick up at all.
