For p=0.03 or something if I just said there was a 3% chance that the results were due to chance and not the iv and didn't say statistically significant would I get it wrong? -.-

What was the question? Something about AD I gather.

Personally, I'd give it a mark but I can't speak for the VCAA. If you want to be technical saying "statistically significant" is meaningless by itself, so saying 3% chance that it wasn't the IV is "more" correct.

i put proactive for first one then retroactive (as learning new language - totally different will inhibit your ability to retain info from previous language, however i believe they will mark both pro/retro as it is based on your opinion, they didnt give you info on what will happen if you learn this, etc.)

what was the experimental design used?

Independent group design?
I said for Statistical significance that 0.03 is significant as a p value of <0.05 must be obtained to make an experiment significant therefore it is significant? RIGHT OR WRONG?

I said adolescent vs elderly, because there wouldve needed more REM for an infant, and i chose cerebral cortex.. so we can hope we got it right.

EDIT: From Grivas: The cerebral cortex is the convoluted outer layer or covering of the two cerebral hemispheres.

same as me

the thing is, i didn't really read it properly.. was there any statement of statistical significant set at p<0.05?
