Hmmm Neap or TSFX for methods?

Just deciding where to go for semester 2 methods. TSFX was decent for unit 3 but looking for better. Is neap alright? Or are there other places that are better than both of these?

Have you considered Connect Education? We provide lectures run by high-scoring students in a focused environment. Oh, and the lecturers study Maths at university :) We'll likely be running a Methods preparation lecture and we will certainly have an end of year one. Dates for these winter holidays will be announced within the next few days. Let me know if you have questions.

Will there be a lecture soon? :) I was thinking more of weekly classes. I've been to tsfx but I don't think they suit my learning style much... Don't know if other places teach the same way though. Hmm... not sure, just struggling a little with getting a decent score for methods, hoping to do well.

EDIT: Oops, as usual, I don't read properly before replying.

Hmm okay, for weekly classes I'd probably recommend a tutor. I think they provide you with much more attention at probably a pretty reasonable price when compared to the weekly classes. But we will be having a four-hour prep lecture that will also go through some of unit three and prepare you for unit four if you're interested. It's been confirmed now, tomorrow we're settling dates :)

I currently do have a tutor but unfortunately the lessons haven't proven to be very effective; quite shallow teaching but I guess my tutor is still good for teaching me the 'basics.' I'm looking for... how should I word this... something a bit more challenging? Haha, if you kind of understand what I mean.... Either that or I should be more proactive with my own study and look for challenges myself. Hmm...

However, definitely interested in the lectures that you are offering. :)

Edit: Just realised I do contradict myself a lot as well. Not getting decent scores yet looking for a challenge... haha. It's just that I don't think I'm learning enough from current teacher/tutor...........

Just do more questions and questions. Ask your tutor to give you tips on solving them. Also with look for a bit of a challenge, try Itute's papers they are very good and challenging. <- ONLY FOR MATHS

Ah okay, the problem lies within myself, haha. Okay, will definitely try itute's papers. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Hahaha, I love your little edits!  If your tutor isn't helping you learn enough, them maybe you should consider a change. But as onur said, first try and ask for more challenging stuff, try and run the session a bit instead of letting your tutor just do things (not sure if that happens though). Sometimes it's hard when you're tutoring if your student doesn't really let you know what they want.

Exactly what lex said, I have a tutor and I order him haha, but little lectures like the one Connect Ed is going to organise is just to secure your knowledge and to fill in the gaps missing from your maths foundation, not saying anything bad but dont expect to learn everything from scratch by attending one lecture or whatever.

By the way lex, if this lecture goes ahead who will be the lecturer ?

:) Thank you for the advice. Digressing away from the topic a little... are you also offering lectures in other subjects besides methods? If so, which ones?
