When do results come out?

If you are offered supp exams and choose to take them, do they use your supp exam result to calculate your final grade, or do they take the better of your original/supp exam?

Thanks.

A supp having failed with the first exam?  I think that you just get a pass/fail.

I don't think I am going to fail.  :p

I read somewhere,  (I think it might have been one of Russ' posts) that even if you get like a H2A and have your application for special consideration approved, you can still resit.

If this is the case, I would like to know whether accepting the supp exam means that this is the only mark that they will use, or whether it will be the higher of both the exams you have completed? (i.e. the higher of the supp or the original exam)

oh, I'm fairly sure they will only take the supp.  I know someone who was in that sort of situation and was told by the coordinator that the department's policy allowed the possibility of resitting the exam as a supp, but she advised against it because the first exam had been good.  It would be a rather unfair advantage to take the best of two exams.

If your 'special' exam result is better than your initial result then it will be used to calculate your overall subject result but, if your initial result was better then it will be used.

I stand corrected.

It is no problem.  Tbh, I am quite surprised that they actually allow it.

Thanks Fyrefly.  :)

Thought I might as well use the same thread.

I know results are released progressively for different subjects, but when is the final date for results to be released?

The Calandar vs. the FAQ below has me confused.

http://www.unimelb.edu.au/unisec/PDates/
http://studentadmin-unimelb.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/studentadmin_unimelb.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1215&p_created=1140501815&p_sid=3ypowcxk&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=957&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MTE4LDExOCZwX3Byb2RzPSZwX2NhdHM9MCZwX3B2PSZwX2N2PSZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PXJlc3VsdHM*&p_li=&p_topview=1

One says 1 July, the other 8 July...

Edit:  Considering I have an exam tomorrow, and that it is highly unlikely that the Calendar is wrong and and also unlikely that my exam will be marked in just a week, I'm guessing it is July 8?

Thanks vexxy!  Good luck for LING tomorrow.  :)

Timetable registration is this Monday at 10am.  Correct?

Omg.  I finish exams tomorrow and I have to create my timetable for next semester so soon?

Seems like I don't have any holidays.
