Oh shush you're so going to get four 95s, and the $500 prize money.
I was actually disappointed in the Immunology exam for the small range of topics it covered. I was expecting a lot more from it, but walked out feeling a bit cheated in the amount of stuff we learned but was not examined.
Ooh, I had forgotten about that prize! I'll settle for the "personal glory" though lol
Yeah, the PI exam was kinda narrow in scope. Brooks was smart though, he set that impossible KIR/HLA essay question that nobody attempted, so he has nothing to mark!
how come it became annoying and bad? i think pathology sounds more interesting actually, but dont know that much about it from the handbook descriptions.
It was applied immunology so it wasn't terrible but learning about wound repair and fibrosis is just tedious memorization, whilst immunology actually had some conceptual basis. Also, interpreting smears/slides is
way less fun than it sounds
What about the physiology major, do you know anyone in it, is it as difficult as Micro/Immunology or Pathology?
I was considering doing a physiology subject, I did it last year and it's entirely different so it's not really a fair comparison. Physiology is macroscopic rather than microscopic but I really enjoyed it. I was tossing up between the two majors...the reason I chose micro/immuno is because the physiology major layout is atrocious. Also, I hope you like neurons and action potentials if you choose this one
