I find the assessment for this unit to be quite heavy (compared to other first-year units, anyway), but you can bullshit your way through it without doing much research and come out with a good mark, so it's not too bad I suppose.
The two first-year sociology units (
ATS1365 and
ATS1366) are incredibly easy and the assessment is extremely light (two 1250-word essays and an exam worth 30% ticks all the right boxes). I'm in the final year of my BA and I'm thinking about picking up ATS1366 myself as a bludge subject. Having looked at the unit guide though, two-thirds of the unit will be dedicated to gender and sexuality, so I'm not sure if that will interest you much...
You might also want to consider
ATS1326 (Contemporary Worlds II). Other than the 2-hour exam worth 40%, the assessment is reasonably light, and I'm sure there's something in this unit that's bound to spark your interest given the range of topics it covers.
