Easiest subject?

I might have a couple gaps in my timetable, i might pick up an interesting art unit or two but i could really use a GPA booster as well.

Anyone care to suggest one of the easiest units they can think of at monash? I don't really mind what it is, open to all suggestions. Long as it doesn't have any pre-reqs i cant satisfy.

Heard this one's really easy for native English speakers: http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2011handbooks/units/ATS1297.html

No exam either, iirc.

Also this one: http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2011handbooks/units/ATS1298.html

Edit: Also, Australian history subjects. A lot of it is common knowledge stuff for people who did their schooling in Australia; a lot of foreigners take these units. I think there's quite a few: http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2011handbooks/units/index-byfaculty-arts.html

I'll be picking it up in S2 though so i don't think a language would be a good idea, unless they run like French 1 or Arabic 1 or something in Semester 2.

Still, thanks guys :).

I find the assessment for this unit to be quite heavy (compared to other first-year units, anyway), but you can bullshit your way through it without doing much research and come out with a good mark, so it's not too bad I suppose.

The two first-year sociology units (ATS1365 and ATS1366) are incredibly easy and the assessment is extremely light (two 1250-word essays and an exam worth 30% ticks all the right boxes). I'm in the final year of my BA and I'm thinking about picking up ATS1366 myself as a bludge subject. Having looked at the unit guide though, two-thirds of the unit will be dedicated to gender and sexuality, so I'm not sure if that will interest you much...

You might also want to consider ATS1326 (Contemporary Worlds II). Other than the 2-hour exam worth 40%, the assessment is reasonably light, and I'm sure there's something in this unit that's bound to spark your interest given the range of topics it covers.

Thanks for the help :).

There seems to be so many units that cover globalisation ha-ha.

There's a 2nd year unit i really want to do and it has no pre-req's, is there any disadvantage to doing a 2nd year unit in 1st year?

Not really.
Usually 2nd year units have an increased workload though, but if you can handle that, then all good.
