Swinburne offers Japanese and Italian.

Thanks :)
I think language at Uni would be too hard for me. I personally have some retardation when it comes to languages. My parents are greek cypriot and have spoken to me in greek since I was a kid, as did my grandparents but I still can't have a proper conversation (I understand some/most stuff but usually answer back in english). Italian I did up till Year 9 and am pretty shit besides the basic stuff. Mi chiamo Costa. Io ho dicisette diani. LOL?

well language at uni isnt at all that hard it ranges like all subjects.
like droodles said above. theres full noob language subjects btu like all subjects obviously gets much much harder. i think at melb uni it starts off with A or 1A.
such as this italian sub: Italian Beginners Language and Culture A

Quote
Students who have attempted Year 11 or 12 Italian or its equivalent are not eligible to enrol.

so i guess they cater for a wide range of students.
