thanks eriny.

I'm not too worried about unilodge.

If for some reason I hate it, is it possible to change to a catered college in second year, or does that rarely happen.
It does happen, but it's pretty hard to get in...

I'd imagine there'd still be tickets left but it sounds pretty rubbish to be honest. I don't know anyone who's going.

Haven't been there, but I have friends there who enjoy it. The social aspect can be a bit bad in that a lot of people keep to themselves, so make sure that you try to meet people there and get out of your room a bit. But my friends there seem to play a lot of Xbox 360 together and party it up a fair bit, so it should be fine.
I think the rooms are pretty small, but I haven't seen any, so I wouldn't really know... And you have to cook for yourself, which would be a bit weird.
Fenner had awesome sports teams last year though, which was very unusual. Because so many decent people are getting rejected from Johns and Burgie and Bruce, the rejects that Fenner has picked up the last few years have been pretty normal, social, sporty people, which makes a change from what it used to be like.

Anyone do commerce down here and can comment on the course in general?
Not sure which uni to choose, I'm in Melbourne so moving is a bit of a hassle but nevertheless I'm willing on doing it if it's worth it.

I guess the most appealing thing about ANU is really its prestige and alongside that needing a 75 ENTER to get into commerce is nothing in comparison to say the steep requirements of MUni (95) and Monash (90).

I think it has risen to 80 for Commerce this year. More generally, I don't know much about Commerce at all. Maybe you should consider going to Open Day this year (it's in August), flights to Canberra on Tiger are getting to be really really cheap.

heh :) I used to think Tiger was your car, given your penchant for naming things :)

In case anyone was interested:

There are currently three (3) undergraduate places available for new or continuing ANU students at Burgmann.
If you are interested in residing at Burgmann College or would like further information please contact the Principals Office by way of [email protected] or phone 6125 6090 (ext 56090).

Just curious about how much it costs to board down at ANU.

I realize it probably varies, but approx how much does it cost?

At Burgmann the room fees for this year were about $11,500. It is possible to get scholarships and bursaries, but I think they're pretty competitive. It's also much cheaper if you decide to go to self-catered accommodation.
