You've completely missed the point of maths in the real world and demonstrated your lack of understanding and ignorance in how mathematics is vital to everyday life. How about you try doing the Commerce Degree and then come back and tell us how much maths you actually used during that degree rather than speculating rather ridiculously about how 'useless' maths is.
And no, methods isn't just about derivatives and logarithms.
But the point of maths in the real world is further and spesh, not methods.
Methods simply puts a plank over the two and attempts to poorly connect the two. I never bagged maths. I bagged methods. There is a difference.
The funny thing is, even if methods wasn't a prerequisite, I'd still have done it as a subject. Why? Enjoyment.
How about you read my posts properly, instead of jumping to conclusions. I repeat, I did not put down maths, I put down methods. There is a difference, and a differing relevance to real life.
I have experienced methods teachers to back up my opinion on its uselessness.
