Did anyone get a SS of 40 in Legal in 2007?

Did anyone on VN besides myself get 40 raw in Legal last year (and completed their VCE in 2007 also)?

I want to know if 40 goes up or down .1 etc cause I know it doesn't just stay dead straight on 40.
Thanks

yes it does, it stays on 40...
but if anything, legal definately doesn't go up, at any stage

2007 Scaling Report, showing that Legal Studies 40 raw, stays on 40

No you dont get it.

No score really stays at where it is after scaling. The scaling report rounds off the scaling to the nearest whole number so if legal goes down .1 to 39.9 it still says it is 40.

entercalc tells me it stays on exactly 40 (and yes, entercalc does go to one decimal place...maybe it scaled <.1)

Edit: Whoops, sorry I edited my post before I saw you quoted me (below)

entercalc tells me it stays on exactly 40 (and yes, entercalc does do decimal places)

but it uses the scaling report.

LOL! But the entercalc is based on the scaling report so of course it is going to say it's 40. All the numbers in between are only decimals on entercalc when say 40 stayed the same and 45 went up 1 to 46.
Entercalc would make between 40-45 go up in a linear fashion... it is an approximation, not exact value.

Wait...but for example, if I type in 41 for English Language, it goes to 42.8, yet the scaling report doesn't say decimals...so where did it get the decimal from?

You can't get them from anywhere, that's why I am asking someone who did Legal Studies in 2007 and got 40, who can tell me where my mark will scale too. I know my mark won't scale more outside these limits 39.51-40.49 but I would like to know.

actually dan's enter calc takes a normal distribution with mean and std. dev of whatever VCAA specifies per subject... it's accurate. Suffice it to say Costa, it's irrelevant. Focus on maximising your VCE scores *this* year. :P

yeah, 0.09 or less, presuming it's your 5th or 6th subject won't make much difference

whats the point in asking people and then saying you're not convinced when they give you an answer.
