How to get at least B on Chem exam

LOL at me, I did the chem sample paper for this year with notes in front of me and got 23%. Which is, er, sort of ringing alarm bells :P But I hadn't studied at all before hand, I just did it for a catch up chem class cuz we had to.

Soooo... how would you guys suggest me to go about studying? I have 0 motivation right now, and i'm kinda put off because I haven't really understood the course at all for unit 4 and can't get my head round any galvanic/electrolysis/battery stuff.

What can I do in 47 days to get myself at least a B? I got a B for midyears so hopefully I can do the same :D Write notes? Do checkpoints? Just memorise? ARGHH, I dunno, I have no logic.

Thanks.

Flunk it, repeat VCE, and study 4 hours per day of Chemistry untill next years exam.

Fool proof.

I would suggest to do checkpoints to get your head around exam style questions.

Maybe learn the basics of the galvanic/electrolysis/battery topics?

I'm not sure whether writing notes would help if you haven't really understood most of it ... I'm personally not a "notes writing" person because the ones I write are dodgy (one look and I toss it aside).

lol.. I'm not sure. Good luck though.

Do lots and lots of practice exams and carefully read the answers

I learnt so much just doing that

Ok. So it would be beneficial doing more exam questions over, say, textbook questions at this point? But the thing is that I better go back to the basics cuz I still don't know a lot :/ Maybe i'll read over notes first then attempt practice exams/checkpoints. That'll probs be fastest and most efficient. I think that's achievable in 47 days!

Thanks guys, hope you're going better than me XD

Or if you're really desperate for time, do the exams with your notes on hand
then compare to the suggested answers

And yes exam questions would be more valuable than textbook ones, especially past VCAA exam questions, since they're not very imaginative and will tend to repeat questions
