OK, so I've decided to go to ANU, but now I realise I have absolutely no idea what I need to do in order to get there. So if anyone could fill me in on the following matters:

1) How do I enrol? I've filled out the online acceptance form on the ANU website (https://apollo.anu.edu.au/default.asp?pid=4391), but this seems very preliminary. I've also yet to receive a letter from ANU itself (got my offer online)

2) By when do I have to be in Canberra? Roughly speaking?

3) Is there an "academic advice" service available that can assist me in choosing my subjects? If so, when is this?

4) How do I select my subjects? (I'm assuming via an intranet page?)

Sorry to sound so clueless, but short of ringing around various ANU admin people (long distance charges!), I don't really know whom I should talk to.

I am pretty much as clueless as you. Applying to ANU is really annoying

I only know how to answer 2)
If you're doing accommodation at a student residence the billing period starts from 13th Feb I think, so you can arrive at the residence then. You could also arrive earlier but you would need to check with the residence to see if that is ok.

1) You will get a letter, it takes forever for them to send it out. Then, you will have to enroll in person during O-week. There is nothing you need to do before then.

2) Feb 13. Make sure to accept your accommodation offer quickly.

3) Yes. You will get the opportunity to do this during enrollment.

4) If you go to the study@anu website (just google it) you can have a look at what's available, but you won't put your selections into the system until enrollment.

Thanks for all that information Eriny. Haven't received the letter yet, so I'm just chilling for now.
More importantly, I can't believe I'll be leaving Melbourne on Feb 13.... that's just terrifying! :o

Yeah, It's nerve-racking isn't it. Seems like everyone's got the same feeling.
