Judging on NE2000's answers, I got 16/25. :(
And short answer questions... well I don't even want to go there. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

I got 24/25 if NE2000 is correct for multiple choice, damnit, wasn't sure about question 8 and guessed between b and c, and guessed c

Not sure about Q8 either, my only issue with c was that it would be quite amazing to get the one gene having the alleles that produces such a distribution. There would have to be lots of intermediate dominance and complete dominance relationships. The problem with b was that i wasn't a curve; so it could go either way, but I think b is more feasible on the information given.

q8 is deffinitely B. The graph shows continuous variation which means that the phenotype is polygenic. (I had a similar question in a prac exam)

i wasn't sure if the graph showed continuous or not thats why i thought it could be c, that could produce distinct phenotypes and if there were three types alleles for the locus then the rage of variations shown would be possible.

not sure if that makes sense, but it does in my head :uglystupid2:

My answers for MC, tell me if you disagree:
1. C 2. A 3. C 4. D 5. B
6. B 7. A 8. B 9. D 10. A
11. D 12. C 13. A 14. C 15. B
16. D 17. B 18. B 19. B 20. C
21. C 22. A (especially not sure) 23. C 24. D 25. D

Not sure on all of these so don't hesitate to tell me if I'm wrong

Hey i roughly said the same answers. except  Q11, i said C and i kinda still stand by it (please feel free to point out why i'm wrong!!)
Also Q14, i'm no good with punnett squares but i was fairly sure it was 1/2, basing on my (maybe delusional) idea that the cross was of Pp with a PP.
Also question 23 was really badly worded - because none of the answers were really correct, i ended up putting D, because i figured that was the MOST correct,  but then changed it to C, because although the wording sounded like "the chance mutation" was created by the use of insecticide (which is wRONG), i thought maybe that was the intended answer. I hope its discluded due to ambiguity or something!!
Oh and i stand by my answer for Q 24: C,
There was no evidence on the tree that could confirm allopatric speciation. so yeah thats why i chose C. But i hate biology, so i'm probably wrong.
DO NOT know why i'm even reading this. hate hate hate hate hate biology.

are we sure question 4a? (about the sailors) was not referring to things like considering genetic predispositions, rather than experimental design?
perhaps they were all genetically inferior being from new zealand anyway  :p (im from nz, dont worry)
