q 7 in graphs apparently noy e, but c. ne1 else think so??
i got E, but this is one of the questions i wasn't sure about.
My reason for E is because the point (4,1) lies on the line (1/16)x^2 ... and does not on (1/4)x^2
Hmm...i was wrong about this question

I now agree that the answer is C.
The point (4,1) lies on a graph with the axis: y and x^2.
Therefore, x=2 , y=1.
Sub that into the equation y= (1/4)x^2
So yeah, the point also lies on this graph

The mistake i made was not realising that the first point was for x^2, so i thought that x=4 and subbed that into the equation y= (1/16)x^2
So how did everyone else do this question?
I originally did it a more simpler way, and got y= (1/4)x^2...
But then after thinking about it for about 15 mins (yes, i spent 15 mins on this question

) i kept switching back and forth and ended up with the wrong answer

Phail

haha. Now i'm sitting on 38/40 given that Q.3 on Core is B.
