In the electrolysis of molten NaCl and you had to write a half equation for the reaction with Na+ what state is the ion in. Is it still in liquid or is it aqueous because your talking about an ion?
Thanks

Molten means liquid, so you just use (l) like you would for any other liquid like H2O(l) etc

Its only aqueous if its dissolved in water, like Bucket said.
