Attachments and the Notes system

Got this idea from /rs/ on 4chan.

basically, is there a way that all files uploaded on the forum be automatically added to the Notes repository? [maybe have a text field next to/below the address field, where a description can be entered, and an additional option saying that "do not include in the notes section" for necessary copyright considerations :P]

this would mean daniel15 would have to come back and tweak our SMF-CUSTOM again.

maybe for something down the track...

Automatically would be stupid. If I upload a picture to a post, it doesn't qualify as a note.

Plus for exam papers (which I assume is why you want it) there will be doubling/tripling up

Umm I mean
1. Whats the point?
2. Who really cares?
(note to readers: http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,6325.msg76895.html#msg76895). This is what Mao will do when you make suggestions. No contribution, just shoots it down for the hell of it :P

which is why there should be a checkbox to say "don't include"

and the latter is my primary concern, as there are doubling up in the system currently and all of these are scattered everywhere. if these were collected in one place, it will actually avoid these.

This sounds like a good idea. Not only does it mean that all the various notes that peopld have uploaded into the forum are easily searchable, but all the exams could be found in one place!

Such blatant centralisation of exam materials on this website will force VCEnotes to shut down. Heed Excalibur's warnings, I say.
