tell me about it! is that not the most stupid vcaa timetabling ever??
shame that u didnt do any LOTEs if u have a passion for them...yeh esp latin haha, all u have to do is rock up to the exam and you'll get 50!

Yeah, I mentioned somewhere else that having Revs following Nat Pol is ludicrous, as so many ppl are always going to have that combination. It would be akin to having Methods and Accounting on the same day.

To scumel - yep, I'm a revs kid :) We did the Russian and French Revolutions this year...using the Russian Rev textbook written by my teacher, and the French Rev text written by Dr. Adcock, the revs teacher at our Caulfield Campus. Lol...royalties much?! ;D
I'm a little worried over the French Rev, especially the essay. But I'm pretty happy with my Russia knowledge. What about you, which revs did you do?

there is still listening in chinese and answering in english
and listening in chinese and answering in chinese but its worth a lot less marks
the translation section requires you to directly translate sentences or paragraphs into fluent english from chinese characters :)

Hehe, sorry to break up the conversation. :P

Not looking for my desired ENTER at all! At the start of the year, I was subconsciously thinking 'yes, 95, 95... I can get it!'. Mid-year, I wasn't much different, as I had no mid-year exams, and hence, felt no real stress about it. Then, I had my Italian Oral... And everything just went downhill from there! English was not really any better... And after specialist, I felt like killing myself! Methods tomorrow will probably be no different, and now I am just hoping for the 70's (even though it won't get me into any of my courses :'(). So all hope is practically lost for me...

we did france and russia aswell and obvs the same sections for each (Russia for A, France for B?)
bit worried about the essay too, mostly with timing. other than that though hopefully it will be ok, just need to consolidate my historians perspectives a bit more

Yup he's my teacher! Hahaha yeah they sure are raking in those royalties :p but they're good books so they deserve to be used, definitely. And yes, Russia for A, France for B is the plan for us too...I'm hoping I can buy myself at least 45 minutes to do the essay in. Half an hour isn't realistic for a slow writer like me. Ugggh and yeah you've just reminded me that I need more perspectives too!!

thats awesome :) my teacher wrote a book for the year 11 course but, she's still on her way up in the historian ranks...
agreed they are good books, love the random facts haha good for a giggle
and also agreed half an hour is rather challenging. i just hope the paragraphs are alright so i can get them out of the way cos i usually go a bit over the lines otherwise...

LOL hallowed trifecta...who's 'Ryan', and which rev is he/she an expert on?

who's your teacher? I'm sure since she's a writer we would know her! LOL ha those random facts...he's into those for sure...he's updating the Russia text right now and he asked our class to contribute some.
ugh i'm really hoping we don't get a really obscure, challenging topic on that essay! >_<

penny evans, she's still only young though, awesome teacher though
true. although we had a practice essay "authoritarianism saved the revolution", so i figure if i could manage that...well, fingers crossed
since 2005 the vcaa topics have been pretty similar though i think
but given the 'hard year' so far, anything is possible!
