to act as a control condition so that the results of list B could be compared with it in order to gauge the effect of the IV on the DV

im pretty sure it was actually operant, told by one of the psych teachers at my school. He knows his stuff, been teaching it forever.
The purpose of List A was to act as a baseline measure of comparison with List B

edit: beat me to it lol

to act as a control condition so that the results of list B could be compared with it in order to gauge the effect of the IV on the DV

I wrote to get rid of any extraneous variables in that participant variables will be removed as they test how well the participants memory are beforehand. Would that be okay?!

but wouldn't the baseline results be those from the control goup (the group that received the non sugary drink?)

i had to provide the baseline results too but then got confused and rubbed it out :(

I was actually just thinking that...

to act as a control condition so that the results of list B could be compared with it in order to gauge the effect of the IV on the DV

I wrote to get rid of any extraneous variables in that participant variables will be removed as they test how well the participants memory are beforehand. Would that be okay?!

Maybe that's the correct answer?

argh I'm so confused at the moment!! think i'm just going to go study for methods...
