being a little bit of a post whore here:

but anyway, what 2 "non-physiological" reasons did you put for marion jones using P.E.D.s?

I did cos the coach was unsatisfied with her motivation levels due to poor performances, so he pressured her

and, cos she believed it would create an even playing field cos she believed other athletes were also doing it

Yeah its above...sorry!

just checked the "A+ notes" book and it says the LIP training zone occurs at 85-90% of max HR. Does that fall above 151bpm? (I forgot how old he was)

What was the exact wording of the question about how to reduce EPOC? Did it refer to heat at all?

I did:
Pressure from coach, fans, family, sponsors etc.
AND
Wanting to win at all costs

Could've also written financial rewards...

In the question about LIP it specifically said referring to the data/table, e.g. his age didn't matter just wanted us to show that we knew that you train at just above LIP to increase LIP.

His LIP was say at 151 BPM, so you train just above i think...?

EPOC question hmmm

i think it was like

what happens to EPOC when athlete's run at hotter temp

and then i said: increases in duration

and then it asked

what strategies could be used to something EPOC... lol can't remember

sorry! another question

what did you guys say about how the marathon runner would use tapering and "something else" to increase performance. Think the "something else" was peaking or something similar

I didn't really understand "peaking" so I said it was do with periodising the training to allow for the highest overcompensation phase to coincide with competition

I'm still thinking that this exam will have a large range for an A+.

Im thinking that it'll drop down to 30 instead of the 36 it was last year.

What does everyone else think????

do you mean you can lose 30 marks and get an A+ in GA3? What study score would a very low A+ equate to?

Definetely, seems like there was a degree of luck involved in this year's exam. As if anyone was ready for the last question...

found solution to it here:

to work out where the dude should train i sed that it was simply 85% of the max heart rate which was 200 so 85% of 200 was 170 so he hadto work over 170 bpm. i didnt get the range questions where lactate was clearly equivalent to reduction or sumthin i think i sed speed 10 to 13:S wen lactate was at 2mmols???

this exam was wayyyy easier than last years, i only got 65% on last years and im pretty sure i got like 85 - 90% on this one, so i recon the A+ range will be 88% to be an A+ my whole class sed it was really easy and alota ppl finished with 40 minteus to go, i personally ran outa time and hadto scribble random answeers for the last 2 pages. any1 got the multichoice questions and answers yet?
